Hot chicken is safe to put in the refrigerator if you don't have time to cool it down first.

Nothing bad will happen if you do refrigerate hot chicken although you can wait a little to allow it to cool off.

The refrigerator will cool the hot chicken down so that it doesn't spoil and I sometimes have put hot chicken and other foods directly into the refrigerator and it's been just fine.

Yes chicken or any other meat can be refrigerated after cooking it.

You can also freeze the cooked chicken or any other meat that you've cooked and it will be just fine.

You should always refrigerate or freeze any leftover chicken or other meats to prevent the potential of bacteria growing on the chicken or meat which can potentially cause you to be sick.

I've refrigerated leftover chicken before because sometimes I'll cook too much chicken and then have leftover chicken which then gets either frozen or refrigerated to eat later.

Many people including myself have refrigerated chicken after cooking and you can put the chicken in the refrigerator even when it's still hot and it will be okay.

The refrigerator will cool the chicken down once you refrigerate it.

It is safe to put hot chicken in the fridge.

The heat from the hot chicken will just increase the temperature a bit in the fridge which means the other food may be slightly warm for a few seconds or so until the fridge cools it back down.

Never had a problem putting hot chicken or other hot food in the fridge and I've been doing it for several years now.
