Vacuum packed meat is still very perishable although the vacuum packed meat helps keep the meat fresher longer.

Still even when meat is vacuum packed it must be kept refrigerated to avoid spoilage and do not leave the vacuum packed meat at room temperature longer than 30 minutes.

Put the vacuum packed meat into the refrigerator or freezer as soon as possible to avoid spoilage of the meat.

When kept refrigerated the vacuum packed meat can last up to 7 days but if you plant to keep the vacuum packed meat longer than 4 to 7 days you can and should put it in the freezer.

The frozen vacuum packed meat can last for 6 months to a year and sometimes longer although after a year the vacuum packed meat loses it's freshness although it's still safe to eat as long as there are no bad smells to the meat.
