Your appendix is a small, tube like organ that is located in your lower right abdomen.
Your right lung, is also located on the right side of the body and is also larger than the left lung and the right lung also has 3 lobes and the left lung only has 2 lobes.
Your right kidney is positioned toward the back of your abdomen on your right side.
And your duodenum and your colon is the first part of your small intestine and sections of your large intestine (colon) pass through your right side.
When you experience pain in your upper right abdomen or right upper quadrant, the pain is often tied to the liver, gallbladder or right kidney.
if the pain is on your lower right side, it often points to your intestines or appendix.
Although your appendix is on your right side, the appendix pain with appendicitis often starts near your belly button and then moves down to the right and becomes sharper over time.
