Skittles do not contain any pork or animal products in them.

Skittles however did used to contain pork but Skittles changed their formula for making skittles and no longer use pork in their ingredients.

So now skittles are actually okay for vegetarians to eat.

Pork is actually used to make over 40 products including some brands of toothpaste.

The fat that is extracted from the pork bones is incorporated in making many types of toothpastes to give it texture.

One brand of toothpaste that contains no pork is Crest Toothpaste.

There is no pork or other animal products in any Crest toothpaste.

There are artificial colors in all of their toothpastes.

Some vegans avoid them, and some don't, make your own call.

Glycerin is found in animal and vegetable fats.

When separated out, glycerin is used in a wide variety of products, including toothpaste.

A few interesting ''non-vegetarian'' facts: Ordinary toothpaste contains animal byproducts.

Almost certainly, it contains glycerine, which may be produced from animal fats. Medicine capsules are made of gelatine, an animal product.

Vitamins A, D and K contain animal derivatives.

Pig bones and pork bones that produce collagen are used in jellied soups, aspic, sauces and gravies, canned ham and chicken, corned beef, sausage.

It is also used in fat reduced foods to simulate the feel of fat and to create volume without adding calories.

It is used for the clarification of juices, such as apple juice and vinegar.
