It is possible to eat too much shrimp as you can raise your cholesterol and may also raise your mercury levels.

Shrimp, however, has a fairly low mercury count, so it's safe to eat in moderation.

However, shrimp does have some residual mercury, so it's best to limit your portions to no more than 8 to 12 ounces per week (about three-quarters of a pound or two to three servings per week).

What is the difference between extra large and jumbo shrimp?

Colossal shrimp are designated as “U/15.”
