Paper Plates can be used in a convection microwave to warm up some food but the paper plate could burn if left in the convection microwave longer than a few minutes.

Paper plates can also be used in a regular microwave for a few minutes.

It is safe to eat on paper plates.

There's nothing harmful about eating on paper plates and no chemicals will leech into your food.

Eating on paper plates is just as safe as eating plastic plates or ceramic plates is.

Many paper plates, cups, and utensils will be compostable after use, with a caveat.

However, if your paper dinnerware includes some type of poly coating or special chemicals to help keep moisture out, then these will not be compostable, or even recyclable in most cases.

Although paper plates are okay to eat off and not bad for you the paper plates are bad for the environment as they end up in the landfill and are not recyclable due to the food particles on them.

Typically, the paper plates are then left to decompose, which may not even happen for a while.

Through this process, they can then seep into water bodies, exude toxic fumes, and contaminate the environment.

Paper plates are extremely dangerous to our environment.

However eventually the paper plates will break down and decompose but it's much better to use regular plates and wash them which also saves money as paper plates can get expensive.
