To make instant pot chicken fill the instant pot with some water and add your chicken.

Then set your instant pot to cook for around 30 minutes.

You can also add some other ingredients to the Instant Pot Chicken if you want too and cook the chicken on the bone or remove the chicken from the bone before cooking it.

Add 3 cups (24oz / 750mL) of water to the inner pot.

Insert the inner pot into the cooker base.

(Note: The inner pot must be used for cooking.

Never pour food or liquid into the cooker base without the inner pot in place.)

Instant Pot Chicken is basically just chicken that is cooked in your Instant Pot.

Instant Pot Chicken can be several different types of chicken recipes or it can refer to simply chicken breasts or chicken thighs etc cooked in your instant pot.

You cook the Instant Pot Chicken in the Instant Pot with some water for around 30 minutes.

The chicken then basically melts in your mouth.

You'll know when natural release is done on an instant pot when the pressure has released once the float valve pops down into the lid, making a clicking sound.

Once the Instant Pot is done with Manual / Pressure mode, it will beep so you know it's done.

Depending on the recipe, you'll do a natural pressure release (NPR) or quick release (QR).

Some recipes – usually with meat or chicken – call for NPR to keep the meat tender.

To do the 10 minute natural release on your instant pot simply let the Instant Pot sit until the pressure naturally releases and goes back to normal.

It's the most common release used in Instant Pot recipes and can take as little as five minutes and as much as 30 minutes.

The reason your instant pot is counting up is because the instant pot pressure cooking is complete and you have turned on Keep Warm mode.

The time shown on the display of the instant pot is how long it's been since cooking was completed.

Using the natural release on an instant pot is really easy.

To perform a natural release on your instant pot, simply let the Instant Pot sit until the pressure naturally releases and goes back to normal.

It's the most common release used in Instant Pot recipes and can take as little as five minutes and as much as 30 minutes.

You do not need to turn the pressure cooker off for a quick or natural pressure release.

The pressure will release on the Keep Warm setting.

The benefit of not turning it off is that the time will count up so you can see how long it's been since the pressure cooking time ended.

Instant Pot natural release is when you allow the Instant Pot to cool down by itself, releasing steam slowly.

When the food is done cooking, the Instant Pot will automatically release steam gradually until the float valve drops down.

This could take up to 30 minutes.

On an instant pot when you set the natural release it allows the pressure to slowly release from the instant pot when the food is done cooking.

After you set the natural release you do not have to do anything to release the pressure as the pressure will slowly be released from the instant pot and then the instant pot will automatically turn to the warm setting.

So when the pressure releases from the instant pot you can then safely open up the instant pot lid and remove your food when you're ready.

If the pressure is not released then the instant pot lid won't unlock but after you release the pressure the instant pot lid unlocks and you can open it.
