Eating chewing gum and actually swallowing the chewing gum is not healthy but it's not harmful if done a few times.

It is healthy to chew gum though.

Chewing sugarless gum has been shown to increase the flow of saliva, thereby reducing plaque acid, strengthening the teeth and reducing tooth decay.

If you swallow gum the gum will stay in your stomach for 1 to 2 days before it eventually passes through your digestive system and comes out in your poop.

The gum does not stay in your stomach longer than a few days and certainly not for 7 years or longer.

If you happen to swallow gum the gum will sit in your stomach for around 1 to 2 days at most.

The gum although it cannot be digested by your stomach acid will eventually move out of your stomach and be pooped out eventually.

Contrary to popular belief the gum when swallowed does not stay in your stomach for 7 years or longer.

The gum eventually leaves your stomach within a day or 2 and then goes through your intestines where it is then pooped out.

You might not notice the gum come out in your poop but it does eventually.

Swallowing gum is not recommended but it's not gonna harm your health or yourself if you do swallow a piece of gum.

It will eventually leave your stomach within a day or so.
