I used to use Centurylink when torrenting and did get a warning message from them that they would suspend my account if it continued.
However I used a VPN and got around it and never got anymore warnings from Centurylink for torrenting.
So if you get a warning from centurylink or want to torrent it would be best to hide your internet traffic behind a VPN.
The best you can do with any internet provider is use a VPN that helps hide the fact that you're the one torrenting but still they may find out.
However when using a VPN and a good torrent app it is much harder for the internet provider to see what is actually going on.
The VPN encrypts all of your traffic, so the ISP can’t legally see the contents of the packets themselves because decrypting encrypted traffic is very much against the law unless you are the rightful recipient or the government.
