When it comes to what you can and should eat on Easter most people on Easter eat Lamb, Turkey or even Ham.

For Easter Dinner my family usually has Ham and Mashed Potatoes and Gravy.

And then on some Easter days we switch it up and have Turkey and Gravy and mashed potatoes and then sometimes we have Lamb along with the mashed potatoes and gravy.

Although most people in America Eat Ham for Easter Dinner as it's more widely available than Lamb meat is.

Being the more available meat than lamb in America, ham became the Easter meal of choice early on in American Easter history.

It didn't hurt that back in pre-refrigeration days, meat was cured in the fall and ready to eat in the spring, leaving them as the perfect post-Lenten treat.

Easter is the celebration of Jesus' resurrection and man's triumph over sin and death.

Jesus was a Jew.

And according to the bible Jews were forbidden to eat pork.
