Cabbage is not the same as lettuce although they are similar.

Cabbage also tastes different than lettuce.

Most people assume that since cabbage and lettuce look the same, they taste the same.

Although cabbage and lettuce are both green vegetables that have many layers of leaves the cabbage is actually tougher than lettuce and contains less water than lettuce does.

Lettuce is also known for being crunchy, which is why it is used in salads or on burgers.
