Foods that should not be reheated in the microwave include rice, hard boiled eggs, hamburger, hot dogs, fish, turkey or any other foods that you've already reheated once before.

Foods that you should never microwave include.

Whole Eggs, Processed Meats, Hot Peppers, Red Pasta Sauce, Grapes, Frozen Meat, Breast Milk.

Frozen meat should not be cooked in the microwave but you can use the microwave to defrost the frozen meat.

To heat plates in the microwave you stack the plates in the microwave and then place a cup of water on top of the plates.

Never microwave the plates without some water in a cup on the plates as doing so will damage the microwave.

The water will absorb the microwaves to allow the plates to heat up.

To heat up a plate in the microwave you also need to place a cup of water on top of the plate so the microwave has something to absorb the microwaves into or the microwave could be damaged.

Place the plate in the microwave and then place a cup of water on top of the plate and microwave the plate and water for a couple of minutes.

Some plates get hot in the microwave because they get heated up naturally through the way the microwave cooks the food.

The plates are absorbing some of the microwaves causing the plates to heat up even if they are microwave safe.

However if the plate gets too hot and the food is not heating up as much then the plate is likely not microwave safe.

Microwave ovens cook food by generating intermolecular friction between the molecules of the food.

The microwaves cause water molecules to vibrate; the increased friction between the molecules results in heat.

Not all plates are microwave safe.

If your plate is marked microwave safe it shouldn't heat up too much.

A good rule of thumb is, if the plate is hot and the food isn't the plate isn't microwave safe.

If both the plate and the food are hot it could be a case of overheating.

Ziploc Bags can be microwaved and are microwave safe.

You can safely microwave Ziploc bags for 30 seconds to a minute or 1 to heat up food or defrost food in the Ziploc bag.

Just be sure to open the Ziploc bag to vent the bag when heating it up.

Sandwich Bags are microwave safe as long as they are only microwaved for 30 seconds to a minute.

After a minute or longer the sandwich bags may melt.

If they are the genuine Ziploc Sandwich Bags those are also microwave safe.

All Ziploc brand Containers and microwavable Ziploc brand Bags meet the safety requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for temperatures associated with defrosting and reheating food in microwave ovens, as well as room, refrigerator and freezer temperatures.

You can microwave Kebab paper for around a minute or two but just keep an eye on it so that it doesn't get too hot and potentially catch fire.

The kebab sticks are also safe to microwave for a few minutes to reheat the Kebab as well.

If a plate is microwave safe the plate will usually have a microwave safe label on it that is usually stamped on the bottom of the plate.

Another way to tell if the plate or dish is microwave safe is to microwave the dish and cup for one minute.

If the dish or container is warm or hot after heating, the dish or container isn't microwave safe.

If the dish or container is cool and the cup of water is hot, the dish or container is microwave safe.

Plates that are microwave safe include plastic plates, paper plates, foam plates, ceramic plates and even some glass plates.

However some of those plates should only be microwaved for a few minutes at a time or a few minutes at most or they could melt or burn.

To tell if a plate is microwave safe look for a microwave safe label.

Another way to tell if the plate or dish is microwave safe is to microwave the dish and cup for one minute.

If the dish or container is warm or hot after heating, the dish or container isn't microwave safe.

If the dish or container is cool and the cup of water is hot, the dish or container is microwave safe.

Paper bowls can safely be microwaved for 1 to 2 minutes depending on your microwaves wattage and power.

Some microwaves are more powerful than others and will heat up the food faster than others so you have to watch the microwave to see if it's starting to burn.

It's best to heat the food up in the paper bowl or foam plate for 30 seconds to a minute at a time until the food is heated and always watch the microwave.

You can safely microwave KFC paper containers.

The KFC paper containers are microwave safe and can safely be microwaved for a few minutes to reheat the food in them.

You can microwave takeaway containers as long as the container has no metal handles.

If the takeaway container has metal handles those handles must be removed before microwaving them.

Although most takeaway containers are not considered to be microwave safe they are okay to microwave for a minute or two minutes to reheat the food in the takeaway container.

It's actually safe to heat up foods in glass, ceramic and containers with a waxy finish.

This includes Chinese takeout containers however you must remember to remove the metal handles prior to microwaving.

You're also good to use paper goods (such as paper plates and paper towels) as well as parchment paper in the microwave.

You can microwave Styrofoam.

Styrofoam is microwave safe as long as you microwave the Styrofoam for only a few minutes.

If you microwave Styrofoam longer than a few minutes then it may begin to melt.

Mostly Styrofoam is good and safe for reheating foods and drinks in the microwave for a few minutes but Styrofoam is not good for cooking food in the microwave longer than a few minutes.

I microwave food on Styrofoam plates and in take away Styrofoam containers all the time for a few minutes and it's never been an issue.

I even heat water up in Styrofoam cups for hot chocolate or even reheat coffee in the microwave in Styrofoam cups.

Styrofoam containers are not meant to withstand too hot of temperatures so microwaving the Styrofoam containers longer than a minute or so can cause the Styrofoam to melt.

Just don't cook anything in the Styrofoam longer than a few minutes and watch it and if it's starting to melt then it's been in the microwave too long.

Microwave ovens vary in power so you have to watch how quickly your Styrofoam heats up.
