Pizza is healthy when eaten in moderation because Pizza is a great nutrition source and Pizza is also has high percentages of the total daily intake of protein, fat, saturated fat, fiber, calcium and lycopene.

However if you eat too much Pizza and don't eat other healthier foods the Pizza can actually be unhealthy for you.

Depending on the type of crust, the amount of cheese and the toppings used, pizza can rank anywhere from nutritionally decent to a diet disaster.

Even healthy pizzas deliver a good amount of sodium from tomato sauce and cheese, so if you are watching your salt intake, you should eat with caution.

You should only choose pizza toppings, which are good for your diet.

Make sure that you do not add too much cheese and bread.

A thin crust is best, and vegetables and protein-rich toppings are a great way to go.

You will need to eat less to lose weight, which is why the size of the pizza you make is important.

There are two ways to eat pizza: The unhealthy way (with extra meat like pepperoni and sausage), or the healthy way loaded with veggies.

But since pizza is still a source of saturated fat (about five grams) and chock-full of sodium, limit it to once a week and load up on those veggies.
