A good substitute for cream of celery soup is soy and almond milk or even coconut milk.

Cream of mushroom soup: substitute chopped and sautéed mushrooms for the celery. cream of chicken soup: substitute finely chopped cooked chicken for the celery and use chicken broth instead of vegetable.

When you're making soup you can use milk instead of cream for the soup.

Milk makes a good substitute for cream in soup.

Although cream works best for soup you can use milk instead of cream.

Whether you use a few tablespoons or a few cups, cream gives soup a silky mouthfeel and rich flavor.

You can definitely add milk or other dairy as well, though it will taste gradually less creamy as you go down in percent.

If you have butter and milk (whole milk and half-and-half work best), you can make your own heavy cream substitute.

To make 1 cup of heavy cream, melt 1/4 cup of butter and slowly whisk in 3/4 cup milk.

This works for most baking or cooking recipes that require heavy cream, but it will not whisk into stiff peaks.

Stir in Coconut Milk. You can easily add coconut milk to your broth to get that craveable creamy texture.

Add Cornstarch. Do you know the cornstarch trick?

Make a Roux.

Simmer with Rice.

Puree Potatoes.

Bring in the Beans.

Soak it with Stale Bread.
