The point at which a liquid becomes a solid is when the temperature falls to 32 F or below for longer than 30 minutes or so.

When the temperature is above 32 F then the liquid will usually remain liquid but once the temperature falls to 32 F or below the water or liquid can freeze and remain solid until the temperature warms back up.

Once the temperature warms back up to above 32 F then the solid such as ice will turn back into liquid water.

When a gas turns into a liquid it's called condensation.

Condensation is when a gas turns into a liquid.

Condensation is what you can see formed on the inside of windows in your house or vehicle.

When a liquid changes into a solid, it is called solidification.

When a gas changes into a solid, it is called deposition and when a liquid changes into gas, it is called evaporation.

Condensation is the change of the physical state of matter from the gas phase into the liquid phase, and is the reverse of vaporization.

The word most often refers to the water cycle.
