Unused cooking oil will last for around 10 years or longer when it's stored in a cool dry place.

Used cooking oil can be reused for around 10 to 20 minutes before it needs replaced.

The used cooking oil is usually good for 3 to 6 months before it needs replaced.

To store frying oil or cooking oil the cooking or frying oil should be transferred to a glass jar and then stored in a cool dry place.

For example if you're fry with oil and then you are done frying with the cooking oil then allow the cooking oil to cool down and then place it in a jar with a lid.

Then store the cooking oil in the pantry.

However if your deep fryer has a lid then you could leave the cooking oil in the deep fryer and then after it's cooled down you can put the lid on it.

Or for cooled down fryer oil the fryer oil could be stored in a metal or plastic coffee can as well.

Cooking oil should last for up to 6 months depending on how much you use it.
