For making pasta salad you should rinse the pasta after cooking it.

Rinsing pasta for warm salad is not necessary but it's still a good idea to rinse the pasta for both warm and cold pasta salad.

When making cold pasta salad it's best to rinse the pasta after cooking so that it cools down.

Rinsing the pasta when making pasta salad makes for a much better cold pasta salad.

To keep pasta salad from drying out you need to cook the pasta long enough and if you overcook the pasta then the pasta salad can become soggy.

Also when pasta is not cooked enough the dressing will not grab onto the pasta properly.

Just make sure you cook the pasta long enough and the pasta salad should not be dry.

Leftover Pasta Salad can be frozen.

However if you do not prepare the Pasta Salad properly before freezing it then the Pasta Salad can become soggy when thawed out.

It's best to freeze the Pasta Salad in an airtight container or a bag that removes the air in the Pasta Salad so it does not go soggy.

Pasta Salad will last in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days and up to 6 months in the freezer.

You can eat pasta salad cold or hot.

Pasta Salad can be served and eaten cold or at room temperature.

Some people prefer to eat the Pasta Salad while chilled and some like to warm the Pasta Salad up before eating it or serving it.

I prefer my Pasta Salad to be warmed up slightly as I don't really like chilled foods unless it's really hot out.

In the winter months I prefer warm Pasta Salad and other warm foods and in the summer months when it's hot out I prefer the Pasta Salad cool.

It just depends on your personal preference as to whether you want the Pasta Salad heated or served chilled as it can be eaten either way.

Pasta should never, ever be rinsed for a warm dish.

The starch in the water is what helps the sauce adhere to your pasta.

The only time you should ever rinse your pasta is when you are going to use it in a cold dish like a pasta salad or when you are not going to use it immediately.
