Mashed potatoes can be frozen and frozen mashed potatoes will last for up to 6 months before they go bad.

Mashed potatoes can be frozen but if not quick frozen first the mashed potatoes can become soggy when thawed out.

You can freeze mashed potatoes and then use them later on.

To freeze mashed potatoes you should quick freeze the mashed potatoes using some parchment paper.

Scoop up the mashed potatoes and place them on some parchment paper and then freeze the mashed potatoes while on the parchment paper.

Once the mashed potatoes are frozen then remove them from the parchment paper and place the frozen mashed potatoes into a freezer safe container or bag such as a freezer safe bag or Ziploc bag.

Freezing the potatoes first on parchment paper helps keep them from becoming mushy.

But if you would rather just place the mashed potatoes directly into a bag or container and then freeze them that way you can certainly do so.

Mashed potatoes will last in the freezer for up to 6 months before they begin going bad.

In the refrigerator leftover mashed potatoes will last for up to 4 days.

If the mashed potatoes smell bad or have mold growth on them then throw them out.
