Anjou pears do usually soften some as they ripen and they also are juicy when ripe and have a lemon lime like flavor to them.

Bartlett pears and Anjou Pears are good for several things such as baking, cooking, making baby food, pear juice etc.

Bartlett pears are very nutritious and packed full of vitamins, minerals and fiber and those vitamins, minerals and nutrients can help fight inflammation, promote gut and heart health, protect against certain diseases, and even aid weight loss.

Bartlett Pears are similar to Anjou Pears but they are somewhat different.

The main difference between Bartlett pears and Anjou pears is the Anjou pears stay green when ripe while the Bartlett Pears turn yellow when ripe.

The changing color of the skin of the Bartlett Pear is what makes them so popular when compared to other pears.

Both Bartlett Pears and Anjou pears taste similar but the Anjou pear to me is a bit sweeter tasting than the Bartlett Pear.

Anjou pear trees are partially self pollinating and usually require no cross pollination between them to get them to bear fruit.

However if you're producing Anjou pears then they should be cross pollinated to ensure they bear fruit.

The Anjou pears have a slightly sweeter taste to them than regular pears.

Anjou pears are sweet tasting.

I find that the Anjou pears are a bit sweeter in taste than regular pears are and I find the Anjou pears more delicious as well.

They are also high in vitamins, nutrients, minerals and antioxidants.

D Anjou pears are great for eating alone or for baking with.

D Anjou pears are one of the best pears for baking foods with that call for pears.

Some common baked goods that are made with D Anjou pears are pear cakes, pear cobbler, pear pies and pear bread.

You can also bake the D Anjou pears themselves or make some D Anjou Pear Juice as well.

The flesh of the D Anjou pears also holds up well in heated applications like baking, poaching, roasting, or grilling and they are delicious when sliced fresh in salads or eaten as an out of hand snack.

If you have a blender you can also make baby food with the D Anjou pears.
