The best way to add flavor to your stroganoff is to mix in some onions, onion powder, pepper and Salt.
To add some good flavor to the stroganoff without it becoming too spicy just throw in some real chopped onions (1/4 cup), a couple sliced cloves of garlic, a little tarragon, sea salt, fresh mushrooms and some hot mustard.
Some good foods to serve with beef stroganoff are Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans and Mexican Rice or Enchiladas which are great side dishes that go well with beef Stroganoff.
Some other great side dishes that go well with beef stroganoff are rice, egg noodles, bread or bread sticks, roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon, braised red cabbage, roasted potatoes and baked sweet potatoes.
Having a nice chicken salad with the beef stroganoff is also a good side dish for beef stroganoff.
I like to have rice or egg noodles and sometimes green beans with bacon with my beef stroganoff.
Also you can freeze beef stroganoff sauce.
When the beef stroganoff sauce has cooled down you can put the beef stroganoff sauce into a freezer bag or freezer safe container and it will freeze just fine.
Then when ready to thaw the beef stroganoff sauce out you can microwave and then put the thawed out beef stroganoff sauce into a sauce pan or pot and heat it back up.
Beef Stroganoff Sauce will last in the freezer for up to a year although it's best to eat or use the beef stroganoff sauce within 6 months of freezing it for best taste and freshness.
The Beef Stroganoff itself can also be frozen and it too will last for up to a year in the freezer.
You can prepare beef stroganoff ahead of time and then freeze it for later use.
I make several batches of Beef Stroganoff and Beef Stroganoff Sauce and freeze it and then thaw it out and heat it back up when ready to serve and eat.
