Eating too much oatmeal can cause constipation.

I have become constipated when I ate too much oatmeal.

I ate a big bowl of oatmeal one morning and then in the evening ate another big bowl of oatmeal and yes it did make me constipated.

At first it was helping me poop so I decided to eat some more but that was a mistake as it made me not able to poop for a few days.

As long as you're only eating a small amount of oatmeal then you shouldn't become constipated and it should help you poop.
