Canadian Bacon is ham because Canadian Bacon is the meat that is cut from the loin part of the pig.

Regular Bacon is cut from from the fatty belly of the pig but the Canadian Bacon comes from and is cut from the loin of the pig.

Both regular bacon, ham and pork are all meats that come from a pig.

The main difference though between the different meats is where the meat is cut from the pig.

Bacon in reality is just the same as bacon that comes from a pig because the meat comes from a pig but it's just cut from different parts of the animal.

The bacon is thinly sliced while ham is mostly sold as whole or half hams but you can also buy sliced ham.

Canadian Bacon is also known as Back Bacon and is more like ham than the streaky cured and smoked strips of bacon that most of us are used to.

Back bacon is a cut of bacon that includes the pork loin from the back of the pig.

The back bacon or Canadian Bacon may also include a portion of the pork belly in the same cut.

Back bacon is also much leaner than side bacon which is made only from the pork belly.

The meat which is Back bacon is derived from the same cut used for pork chops.
