You can bake in an electric skillet but it takes a little while longer to bake foods in the electric skillet than it does in the oven.

When baking in the electric skillet you want to raise the food up a little above the skillets bottom and use either a rack or put a baking sheet small enough to fit into the skillet or use some aluminum or tin foil.

I've heard of people baking small cakes, cornbread and potatoes in their electric skillets and they say they turned out just fine.

I've never baked any foods in my electric skillet but it can be done.

Buying an electric skillet is worth it.

If you just want to cook something without dealing with the stove then an electric skillet is a good option.

You can also take an electric skillet outside and cook in it outside as well as long as there's an electric outlet nearby.

Electric skillets are also great to take with you when traveling and staying in hotels or motels when you want to cook something yourself.

I take my electric skillet with me and use it when traveling.

I've also used an electric skillet when I was in college and in a dorm room and so yes the electric skillet was worth it.

Electric frying pans are good for cooking in.

If you just want to cook something and don't want to use the stove or you don't have a stove then an electric frying pan is a good option.

An electric frying pan cooks a bit slower than a stove does but it's still a good thing to have and I've used electric frying pans in a dorm room before.

You can fry potatoes, hamburgers, fry eggs, make scrambled eggs, pancakes etc in the electric frying pan.

You just have to wait a bit longer for the food to cook but the electric frying pan does cook the food just fine.

Chicken can also be fried in the electric frying pan.

An electric frying pan uses between 800 to 1000 watts of electricity and are pretty cheap to use.
