The herb Oregano is a Superfood and has many health benefits.

Fresh Oregano is a great antibacterial agent and oregano also has phytonutrients (thymol and carvacrol), which help your body fight infections such as staph.

Not only that but fresh oregano is also loaded with lots of antioxidants that help your body prevent cell damage.

Oregano is also an excellent source of fiber, vitamin K, manganese, iron, vitamin E, tryptophan and calcium.

When eating oregano it helps boost your immune system, may prevent cancer, dementia, heart disease, heart attacks, strokes and oregano may also help you live a longer and healthy life.

Oregano has many uses and makes for great herbs and spices to many foods including eggs, omelets, hamburgers, salads, cooked vegetables, fish, chicken and even pork.

Oregano is also good to add with stews and soups and even some people including myself like to add oregano to a pot of Chili.

It's OK to eat raw oregano if you want to eat it.

However when oregano is not cooked in with other food it can be too pungent and too strong tasting.

But it's safe to eat the raw oregano is you want too.

I sometimes put raw oregano onto Salad or hamburgers and it's okay for me that way.

But eating the raw oregano plain is too strong for me.

Oregano is a good and healthy spice and herb that has been used on foods for centuries and it's very safe and healthy to eat it.

When cooking with Oregano the Oregano is best when used in the last 15 minutes of cooking.
