Raw meat can be cut on a wood cutting board.
If you do use a wood cutting board for raw meat it's best to have separate wood cutting boards which would be one cutting board for the raw meat and another wood cutting board for vegetables or other non meat that you're cutting.
This will help prevent the spread of bacteria from the raw meat to other food.
The wood can absorb some bacteria and raw meat juices so you want to use separate cutting boards for meat and vegetables.
Also wash down the wood cutting board to kill any bacteria and it's best to use some bleach solution with warm water to kill the bacteria.
As long as you wash the cutting boards the wood cutting board is okay for meat.
Even with plastic cutting boards they should be washed down as well when cutting meat.
