When peanut butter sparks in the microwave it's usually caused by a small bubble or air pocket in the peanut butter that you're microwaving.

The microwaving process can cause the clumps of peanut butter to rise and create air bubbles which can cause the peanut butter to spark.

Also peanut butter contains oils which can create a sparking situation in the microwave.

It's normal if your peanut butter sometimes sparks in the microwave and I have had it happen to me before.

At first I thought the microwave was going bad but I found out it's nothing serious or anything wrong with the microwave causing the sparking.

It's just because of the air bubble in the peanut butter causing the sparking.
