When cooking a steak it's best to cook the steak thawed and not frozen.

Although you can cook steak frozen it's much better to thaw the steak out overnight in the refrigerator and then cook the steak from thawed.

When you cook the steak frozen the steak will cook less evenly and so some parts of the steak may be fully cooked while other parts of the steak may still be frozen and not cooked.

It will take longer to cook a frozen steak than it will to cook a thawed out steak.

I always cook my steaks thawed because it cooks much better thawed than it does when frozen.

I have baked steak frozen though and it cooked okay that way because the preheated oven thawed it out some before it started cooking.

But if you're grilling the steak or cooking the steak in a skillet etc then thaw it out first.
