The difference between smoked bacon and unsmoked bacon is that the smoked bacon goes through a process that smokes the bacon to cook it.

When you buy smoked bacon the smoked bacon is already cooked and ready to eat and also the smoking process of the smoked bacon adds flavor to it.

The unsmoked bacon is just bacon that is not cooked at all and requires you to cook the bacon before eating it.

Also smoked bacon goes through a curing process and then is rinsed off and then put into a smoker to smoke the bacon.

The bacon is usually smoked using some type of wood which helps add flavor to the bacon.

Just like smoked ham is already cooked and ready to eat the smoked bacon is also ready to eat and cooked.
