How long after you kill a deer is the meat good?

After you kill a deer for meat the meat from the deer is good for at least 8 hours depending on the outside temperature.

If the weather is warmer or hotter out when you kill the deer then the meat will spoil faster in the deer than it would if it were really cold when you killed the deer.

When you kill a deer you need to hang it up and butcher it and clean the deer so that you get the meat out of the deer and then freeze the deer meat soon.

If you cannot freeze the deer meat and get the deer cut up within 8 hours then have someone else do it or don't kill the deer.

Killing a deer for meat requires some work to get the deer meat ready and to keep it safe for human consumption.

If the deer meat has not been removed from the deer and frozen within 8 hours of killing the deer then don't eat it.

Deer meat after you kill the deer is good for around 8 hours in cooler temperatures and around 4 to 5 hours in warmer temperatures.

However once you clean the deer and process the deer meat then deer meat can last a year or longer as long as it's kept frozen.
