Bread does not last longer in the fridge.
When you refrigerate the bread the bread actually has a shorter shelf life than it would have if it were just left in the pantry or out on the counter.
Refrigerating bread causes the bread to get stale much quicker as well as changes the texture of the bread and degrades the bread.
So if you want to keep bread longer do not refrigerate the bread as it makes the bread go bad faster.
The refrigeration of the bread makes the bread go stale and also causes the bread to get soggy as well.
So just keep the bread out on the counter and keep the bread in it's bag and close it with the tie again when not using it.
