Yes maple syrup does have a laxative effect.

The SAP itself is a laxative and when you eat enough or drink enough maple syrup it will get your bowels moving and you'll need to be on the toilet.

I've drank a whole bottle of maple syrup and within 4 hours of doing so I was needing to use the toilet.

So if you're constipated you can dry drinking some maple syrup and it should help get your bowels moving.

You can also drink apple juice, pear juice, prune juice or eat some apples, pears, prunes etc and those too can have a natural laxative effect and you should be going poop soon afterwards as well.

Those fruits and fruit juice also contain fiber and vitamins which is healthy for you.

Maple Syrup does have a laxative effect and maple syrup can make you poop when you consume enough of it.

If I want to use maple syrup to get me pooping I will drink a cup full of the maple syrup slowly and within a few hours I do need to poop.
