The reason that sprouts make you fart when you eat them is the sprouts are high in fiber and also sprouts contain sulphur.
The natural bacteria in our bodies turn that sulphur into what's known as hydrogen sulphide and methyl mercaptan.
That hydrogen sulphide and methyl mercaptan gets mixed in with the gas your body already produces and then it causes you to fart more.
Sprouts are very healthy for you because sprouts contain high levels of vitamins A and C, folic acid and dietary fiber.
But eating too much sprouts may cause too much farting and gas buildup and may also lead to diarrhea.
