Chicken soup usually lasts in the refrigerator for up to 4 days if the refrigerator is kept cold enough.

However sometimes the chicken soup can remain safe to eat and last in the refrigerator for up to 5 to 6 days.

To make sure the chicken soup you have is safe to eat after 5 days smell the chicken soup and if it smells sour or the chicken has become slimy or the soup has any mold in it then throw it out.

Or if the chicken soup has a bad sour taste to it then throw it out.

If the chicken soup was frozen then it's safe to eat up to a year later.

If the week old soup has been frozen then yes it's safe to eat the frozen week old soup.

However if the soup that is a week old has been in the refrigerator for a week then it's likely bad or at least has grown bacteria in it and should be thrown out.

If the soup smells bad or has any bit of mold in it then throw it out.

Soup usually lasts for 4 days to 5 days at most in the refrigerator and up to a year in the freezer.

It depends on the soup and whether or not it had meat in it.

If the soup has meat in it and it's a week old and in the refrigerator it likely is bad and should be thrown out.

I would not risk eating it and getting food poisoning or botulism which can be deadly.

You can keep or store soup in the fridge for up to 4 days but it's best to eat the soup within 3 days otherwise it can lose it's freshness and taste.

After 4 days in the refrigerator the soup can go bad and start to sour and smell bad and should be thrown out to prevent food poisoning.

If you have homemade soup or any other soup that you are not eating or serving within a few hours it should be refrigerated or frozen.

If you freeze the soup it will last for up to a year but it's not as fresh tasting after 6 months so it's best to eat the soup within 6 months or less of freezing it.

Homemade soup can sit out at room temperature for up to 2 hours.

If you're not gonna eat the homemade soup though within 1 hour it's best to refrigerate it to keep any bacteria from growing in the homemade soup.

But it's safe to leave homemade soups out at room temperature for up to 2 hours.

After 2 hours of the homemade soup sitting out at room temperature the homemade soup can grow bacteria that could make you sick.

You could get food poisoning or botulism from the homemade soup so make sure you eat the soup, keep it hot or refrigerate the soup.

If you want to keep the homemade soup out longer than a few hours you can keep the homemade soup warming in a crock pot.

I keep homemade soup warm in a crock pot for up to 3 days when I make a lo of it and then eat it and it's always warm which keeps the bacteria out of the homemade soup.
