All coconut oil is edible as long as it does not have any other toxic ingredients mixed in with it.
For example coconut oil that you can use for cooking would always be safe to eat and is edible but coconut oil made for hair or skin may not be edible.
It depends on what the ingredients are.
If you buy a specially made coconut oil or coconut oil product for hair or skin then it may contain toxic ingredients besides just the coconut oil.
So make sure you read the ingredients on the coconut oil before you consume it.
For example I would not even try eating coconut oil that was sold for hair or skin.
But pure coconut oil I would have no problem consuming it as long as it was not marketed as a skin or hair product.
