Yes small red beans are toxic to people if they are not cooked.

So that means the small red beans are only toxic to people if they are eaten raw and as long as you do not eat any raw small red beans then you won't get sick or killed from them.

Small red beans are toxic when raw because of a protein called lectin.

That lectin becomes toxic to humans but if you cook the small red beans and boil the small red beans for at least 10 minutes or longer the small red beans are no longer toxic.

So as long as you cook the small red beans first then eat them then you will not get sick or die from eating the small red beans.

Once the small red beans are boiled for 10 minutes or cooked then the small red beans are no longer toxic.
