Yes eating too much cabbage can give you gas and make you fart more when you eat a lot of cabbage.
Cabbage contains and is packed with fiber and raffinose which can cause gas buildup in people when eaten in excess.
Eating a little bit of cabbage should not cause much gas or any gas at all.
However when you eat too much cabbage then you can usually expect to get gas and bloating, farting, burping etc.
When i eat too much cabbage I do fart more often and even feel bloated.
Other vegetables that can cause gas are broccoli, cauliflower and bok choy which are from the cruciferae family which can cause major gas buildup in some peoples bodies.
