Food in the freezer should last for up to 24 to 48 hours as long as the food is completely frozen and the door or lid to the freezer remains closed.

You can place ice in the freezer to help keep the food longer.

Or get a generator and run the freezer off the generator to keep the food from spoiling.

We have a generator so that in the event the power goes out on us for longer than a day or so then we can plug the freezer and refrigerator into the generator to run it for awhile to keep the food cold.

You don't have to run the generator all the time but you can run the generator to allow the refrigerator and freezer to cool back down every 3 to 4 hours.

A generator even a small one is a good thing to have to at least keep your food cold and prevent spoilage of the meat and other foods.
