Yes frozen beets are good to eat.

The frozen beets are not as good to eat as fresh beets but beets do freeze pretty well and then when you thaw them out they will be ready to cook or eat raw.

You can either freeze the beets after cutting them up or freeze the beets whole.

It's best however to cut the beets up and then flash freeze the beets to prevent the beets from sticking together.

The beets when frozen will last around 6 months to a year although they should be eaten or used up with a few months to 6 months for the best taste.

Both beetroots and beets do eventually go bad just like other foods.

Beetroot or beets should last for 3 to 7 days at room temperature.

However it's best to eat the beets or beetroot within a few days and keeping in the refrigerator for the 3 to 7 days can help them last a bit longer.

Or store the beetroot or beets in a cool dark place such as in a cellar if you have one.

But it's best to eat the beetroot or beets within a few days of purchasing them.

If you're growing beets in a garden then only pick the ones you plan to eat and then leave the rest in the ground to make them last.

But remove the beets from the ground before winter.

White beetroot and white beets are OK to eat and they are edible and safe.

Sometimes the beets or beetroots will turn white inside and that is normal and nothing to worry about and the white beetroot or white beets are not an indication of bad beets or bad beetroot.

The taste may be a bit different but white beets and white beetroots are entirely safe to eat and you won't get sick or have any health issues when eating white beetroot or white beets.

Some beets can be white inside while being red outside and that is normal and the beet is still good and safe to eat.

Some beets grow to have a white inside while the outside is red or even sometimes other colors.

But the white beet is okay to eat when it's white inside.

Having a red beet that has a white inside is still a good beet and that is just how some beets grow.

Sometimes the red beets turn white inside because the soil was allowed to get too dry and the weather was too hot.

The white insides of a beet or beets are not an indication of bad beets but it usually means that they may not have gotten enough water.

Cooked beets can be frozen to extend the life of the cooked beets.

The beetroot is the taproot portion of a beet plant, usually known in North America as beets while the vegetable is referred to as beetroot in British English, and also known as the table beet, garden beet, red beet, dinner beet or golden beet.

Beets are rich in folate (vitamin B9) which helps cells grow and function.

Folate plays a key role in controlling damage to blood vessels, which can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Beets are naturally high in nitrates, which are turned into nitric oxide in the body.

Raw beets contain more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than cooked beets.

Like many vegetables, the longer you cook beets (especially in water), the more of the colorful phytonutrients leach out of the food and into the water.

Retain the good-for-you nutrients in beets by roasting them or sautéing them instead.

You can freeze cooked beets.

When you freeze cooked beets just make sure the cooked beets have cooled down and then put the cooked beets in a Ziploc bag or a freezer safe container.

Frozen cooked beets will last for around 6 months before they start going bad and the frozen cooked beets will taste just as good as freshly cooked.

Then you can just boil the beets again to heat them back up.

No you should not wash beets before storing them.

The beets have a natural waxing coating on them that helps to protect them in storage and makes them last longer and by washing the beets you remove that layer of natural wax.

If you wash the beets then the beets will go bad sooner and get mushy and soft and then when they get mushy and soft they are bad and should be thrown out.

There's no need to wash the beets before refrigerating them or freezing them.

I've always just refrigerated them or froze them and only washed the beets when I was ready to cook them or eat them.

Beets will last in the fridge for up to 10 days.

You can leave beets out at room temperature and they will last around 5 to 7 days.

But refrigerating the beets will extend the life of the beets up to 10 days and after 10 days the beets will start turning soft and mushy and go bad.

You can tell when the beets have gone bad as the beets will get soft and once the beets have gotten soft then they are bad and should be thrown out.

If you want to extend the storage time of beets you can place the beets in a freezer safe container or bag and freeze the beets.

When frozen the beets will last for up to a year.

Although it's best to eat the beets within 3 to 6 months of freezing them as they lose their freshness after 6 months.
