Silicone tongs and other silicone cooking utensils have a pretty high heat resistance.
And as long as you only dip the silicone tongs in the hot cooking oil momentarily for only a few seconds then the silicone tongs should be okay and not melt.
However if you were to leave the silicone tongs in the hot cooking oil for a minute or longer then eventually the silicone tongs may start melting.
And then there's the issue of the silicone getting into the cooking oil which could contaminate the food.
I would recommend using metal tongs in hot cooking oil but if you have to use the silicone tongs in the hot cooking oil only do it for a few seconds at most.
Don't leave the silicone tongs in the cooking oil too long and it should be fine.
