You should never leave wine in a hot car because the hot temperatures inside the hot car can cook the wine.
When the wine gets cooked due to the heat of the hot car the wine goes through a chemical reaction which can change the taste of the wine.
The wine will still be safe to drink or cook with even when left in a hot car but still it's not very good to drink or cook with because it won't taste very good.
Wine is best kept cook so make sure to remove the wine from the car before it is allowed to get hot inside the car.
Keep the wine in a cooler with some ice in your trunk if you need to leave some wine in a hot car.
Inside temperatures of a hot car when it's 95 F or above can reach 130 F to 150 F or above especially when the hot car is left in the direct sunlight.
Drinking the wine after it's been left in a hot car and got hot will not hurt you but I would not advise leaving wine in a hot car.
