A Wolverine could kill a wolf as long as the Wolverine is only faced with one wolf.
If the Wolverine comes up against more than one Wolf then they would likely never win the fight and the two wolves could actually overpower and kill the wolverine.
Most times a Wolverine will try to stay far away from the wolf or wolves because they do not want to get into a fight and possibly be killed or injured.
They are pretty smart and know not to come up against the wolf or pack of wolves so that they prevent death or injury to themselves.
Wolverines do however actually try to act much bigger than they are but Wolves are much more powerful and stronger than wolverines.
So if the Wolverine came up against just two wolves then the Wolverine would likely be killed.
Even just one Wolf could kill a Wolverine but the wolverine has a better chance of survival when it comes up against just one wolf.
