The country of India is the largest producer of milk.
India produces around 843 million tonnes of milk each year and that is up from only 530 million tonnes in the year 1988.
Then the USA is next as the top and largest produce of milk with the USA producing around 215 billion lbs of milk annually.
Sadly though a lot of that milk that both India and USA as well as many other countries produce actually doesn't get consumed.
Instead what doesn't sell in the stores before it expires the milk gets dumped out because it sours before it can be used up.
