Can I eat bread that smells like acetone?

The acetone smelling bread is usually not harmful to your health but it would also not be good to eat either.

I would throw the acetone smelling bread out and not risk your health just in case it had some bacteria in it.

When the bread starts smelling of vinegar or acetone it means the bread is going bad because of a chemical reaction with the dough, yeast and the bread.

That happens as the bread gets older and older so I would just throw the bread out when it has a bad smell to it.

Even if the bread has no mold on it the acetone smelling bread or the nail polish remover smelling bread or vinegar smelling bread is not normal for good bread.

When the bread is still good and fresh it should not smell that way at all.
