Poking holes in sausage is really only done to allow the fat to drip out of the sausage while grilling or cooking them and to also allow the air along with the fat to be released.

Most people including myself don't recommend poking any holes in the sausages before grilling them as I find them more tasty when I don't remove the fat from them.

If you do poke holes in the sausages before grilling or cooking them only use a toothpick as you only need a few small holes and not very large holes.

But it's really not needed to poke holes in your sausages before you grill them.

Cooking sausage on the grill takes around 10 to 14 minutes to fully cook the sausage on the grill.

When cooking sausage on the grill make sure the sausage is thawed out and not frozen and then place the sausage directly on the grill.

During the grilling process of the sausages cook the sausages on one side for 5 to 7 minutes and then after 5 to 7 minutes turn the sausage over and cook the other side of the sausage for another 5 to 7 minutes.

After 10 to 14 minutes of grilling the sausages the sausages should be fully cooked and ready to serve or eat.

When grilling sausages on the grill it's best to cook them on the grill using the medium heat but you can turn the heat up if you want too.
