There really is no need to wash ground turkey before cooking it.
And actually the USDA does not even recommend washing ground turkey or any other meats before cooking them.
The reason that people usually wash ground turkey or wash any other meat is to remove blood and other bacteria that can be on the raw meat.
But what can actually happen though is you create more bacteria in your sink or other things when washing the raw ground turkey or any other raw meat.
So you're basically doing more harm than good and can get cross contamination.
All you really need to do is cook the ground turkey or any other meat to where the meat or ground turkey is fully cooked.
Once fully cooked and reached the proper temperature the bacteria in the meat should be killed off and all the blood should be gone.
