Man and human beings have been cooking meat for as long as 400,000 to 500,000 years which is a very long time.

Humans had started cooking meat as soon as they discovered fire and discovered that the fire could cook the meat.

There has been evidence found that Homo Erectus Humans have been cooking meat since around 500,000 years ago.

Also the evidence for the controlled use of fire by Homo erectus beginning some 400,000 years ago has wide scholarly support.

So humans and man have been cooking meat before they eat it for many years.
