Yes you can store uncooked meringue in the fridge for up to 24 hours prior to using it.
Just make sure you store the uncooked meringue in a sealed container and then use it within 24 hours otherwise it may go bad and not be good to use.
As long as you use the uncooked meringue within 24 hours of refrigerating it and it will be just fine.
You can make meringue ahead of time the day before and then use it the next day to bake it as soon as you're ready to bake the meringue.
I've made meringue ahead of time for a few years now and then refrigerate the uncooked meringue and then bake it the next day.
