Raw sausage can be added to sauce and cooked with the sauce.
When you do cook raw sausage in sauce the sauce will need to be cooked longer to cook the raw sausage.
if you want to cook the sauce in less time then it's best to cook the sausage or brown the sausage before you add the sausage to the sauce.
But if you prefer to just add the raw sausage to the sauce and cook it that way then you certainly can do so.
Just make sure to cook the sauce long enough to cook the sausage all the way through.
It takes around 25 minutes to cook sausage in sauce in a pot or in a slow cooker the sausage can be cooked for around 8 hours in the sauce.
I like to add sauce to the slow cooker and then place raw sausage into the slow cooker with the sauce and it's cooked overnight.
