I'm new to blogging and seo and trying to learn all I can.

I just started a new blog and it hasn't even been indexed in google search yet.

Does a websites bounce rate affect search engine rankings?

Yes google takes into account a websites bounce rate.

The higher your bounce rate the lower your rankings will be. The lower your website bounce rate the higher your chances of ranking higher in google search.
