To be able to actually successfully DDOS Google.com you would need multiple data centers full of servers that could make requests to the Google Servers to take it down.

It's basically impossible for one person or even several people to take down google.com and if someone were to take google.com down that would be an amazing feat.

However it's unlikely that it would happen because if one data center is having a DDoS attack they would shift everything over to another data center to keep Google.com up.

Google.com has gone down before but not because of DDoS attacks.

Google.com is hosted on many different servers to keep all that information online and there's are millions of searches everyday handled by Google.com
